Magic runs deep for Guy. Growing up, he became friends with Detroit television's kid-show greats — Karrell Fox ("Milky the Clown"), Bob McNae ("Bozo" and "Oopsy the Clown"), and Larry Thompson ("Mr. Woodini") — through his father, WWJ-TV weatherman Hugh Copland. Guy was the youngest magician to perform at the very first Oakland Mall Magic Week in 1971, and did magic on Detroit's Oopsy the Clown show as a kid.
He built his stage skills on the air, too. In 1998 he became the morning news anchor for the Mississippi News Network, delivering news to more than 70 stations across the state, before returning to Michigan in 2005 to entertain full-time.
Today, from his home base in Berkley, Guy is one of metro Detroit's most-booked entertainers. He's warmed up crowds for Disney On Ice and Nickelodeon Live, performed at hundreds of schools and libraries, and headlined more than a thousand private parties for kids and adults alike.
